Trip to France - Wednesday (part 1)

On Wednesday the sock lady and sock man went to visit the town of Vitre again. This time they took Pirate Parker & Maisie the sock creatures with them. They walked around the old narrow windy streets, looking at lots of lovely things in shop windows. After their walk they went to a cafe for lunch. Sock lady let the sock creatures have some of her chips, but the best bit was when sock man let them have a little sip of his cider, which was served in what looked like a teacup.

Trip to France - Tuesday

Tuesday was another day where sock lady went out without the sock creatures. This time she visited a French market in a town called La Guerche. It was very busy, and sock lady was pleased that the sock creatures had chosen to stay at home as it was very busy, and she didn't think they would have liked seeing rabbits for sale for eating! They would have liked seeing the log man on the plant stall though.

Trip to France - Monday

On Monday after breakfast, sock lady got ready for a busy day out. They were going to visit a town called Craon, where there was a big trade fair throughout the streets. The sock creatures were worried because sock lady said there would be some big tractors on display. Sock lady said if they wanted, they could stay at home with Toska the dog. They thought this might be a good idea, even if it meant missing out on other things. After they promised to be good, sock lady left the house. Later that day she returned with tales of the lovely day out. After the trip to Craon, sock lady had visited Vitre, where she had watched Sock man eat the biggest jacket potato she had ever seen. She brought back a copy of the menu for the sock creatures to look at. She also brought back the box she had been given with marshmallows, but sock man had eaten them all!

Trip to France - Sunday

On Sunday, lots of people visited the sock lady's family. Some were French and some were English. They were all very interested in the sock creatures and wanted to find out more about them and where they had come from. Sock lady told them all about sock creature HQ and all the other creatures who.lived there. They had a barbecue and sock lady drank lots of French wine. The sock creatures had fun listening to the conversation and sunbathing in the garden. They were very tired that night when sock lady tucked them into bed. She told them to get some sleep as Monday was going to be a busy day.

Trip to France, the first day

On Saturday morning, the Sock Lady visited Le Mont Saint Michel. It was a hot day, and the Sock Creatures were very tired from all the travelling. Sock Lady was worried about them getting lost in the crowds, and so it was decided that they would rest in the car. Sock Lady told them all about the visit and even bought them a postcard as a souvenir.

Sock creatures have arrived in france.

Pirate Patrick is one of the lucky Sock Creatures who have gone on holiday to France this week. Sock Lady will write a longer post tomorrow, but for now, here is a photo of Patrick enjoying his time on the ferry last night.
